
DeBorah Sharpe-Taylor enjoyed 10 years singing background to HARRY BELAFONTE.
Then, still early in her singing career, she had an amazing stint as a SUPREME with MARY
WILSON, and CINDY BIRDSONG. In addition, she toured with the likes of SOUL 2 SOUL,
and BARRY WHITE, and now thrills audiences performing in cabarets.
As a Musical Director, she has successfully led productions, of "The WIZ," "BEAUTY and
THE BEAST," "SUSSESICAL," "ONCE ON THIS ISLAND," and "BUBBLING BROWN SUGAR."
She performed in, and acted as Vocal Director at the famed Geffen Playhouse
in Los Angeles, California, for the Broadway Musical created by her late husband Ron Taylor,
"It Ain’t Nothin But The Blues." Most recently DeBorah delighted in being the Musical
Director on "GUYS AND DOLLS" for 'Phillips Musical Theatre for Kids.'
DeBorah performs weekly as Worship Leader at the Wilshire United Methodist Church,
English ministry where she directs 3 choirs, and is the Minister of Music.
She has numerous stage credits spanning 30 years in the industry, in musical theatre
including performing in the original production of "Little Shop of Horrors."
You can see her acting in commercials this season for, COMCAST, VON/SAFEWAY,
VITORIN, and MCDONALDS.
As a composer, this year DeBorah proudly launched her non-profit , United VOICES OF
PEACE.
